He correctly points out how advertising and marketing  from the late 1950's to early 60's effected the coming decades.

We currently live in an age that celebrates youth and consumerism. It has become an obsession.

The natural progression of life is that youth does give way to experience and wisdom. Western culture sees aging as an infirmity that should be stopped or at the very least disguised.

Like Bill Hicks before him, the truth couldn't be any funnier.

Why the name Art Salvo?

Art and the Arts should have the impact of a bomb going off.  

When referring to the Arts I am referring to Music, Writing, Comedy (trust me, it is definitely an art form), the visual arts such as Painting, Photography and other media.

The arts inform us as individuals about the world around us and ourselves.

Great art should make you feel moved, touched, inspired, hopeful as well ALIVE.

This blog will be dedicated to the art that has done that for me and I hope that comes across to you as this blog progresses.

There will be a lot of writing on music but I will definitely make an effort to reach beyond that

This is a start and a promise.
